These days, you can't say you're proud to be black, white, red, yellow, orange, rainbow, whatever, without being called a racist. But then I figured, what the hell is the point of that anyway? Sure, it's great to be proud of your heritage, but in the end it just causes more separation between different races.
If dogs could speak, I can't imagine them going around saying "I'm proud to be a St. Bernard!" or "I'm proud to be a Labrador!" They're all dogs in the end. They don't judge other dogs by their breed. Love your heritage, but love your species too. In the end, we are all humans. I'm white, but I'm not proud to be white, I'm proud to be human. I don't care if you're black, red, gay, straight, man, woman, Christian, Muslim, Athiest, whatever. I love all different kinds of humans, and wish others would try to do the same. |
